Seeking a Professional Drupal Web Developer to improve the functionality of Fremont College’s website Drupal platform for the end-user as well as site administrator/web editor. Other responsibilities include improving and/or adding new features/pages to the site to encourage audience interaction, support special initiatives and include content in additional languages.

Responsibilities:
• Search functionality: Visitors should be able to search content based on content type, such as news, actions and organizations, and filter search results accordingly.
• Popular user interfaces: Evaluate how the website can be used on popular user interfaces, such as mobile phones and social networking sites.
• Multimedia: Make improvements to multimedia set-up. E.g. Ensure videos show up properly.
• Drupal Modules/Platform: Modify/add Drupal modules                                                         
• Navigation/New pages: Add dynamic content on pages based on new content categories Add new pages to navigation, if and where necessary.
• Security: Add spam protect user e-mails and assess security risks to user profiles, CMS and site in general.
• Analytics: Evaluate existing analytics set-up for Fremont College site, and add additional analytics features, such as tracking and monitoring of downloads.                                               
• Interactive modules: Advise on how to improve user interactivity, such as enabling comments, on a page, and implement changes.
• Back-end: On an ongoing basis, evaluate set-up of database and Drupal modules. Clean up coding and modify/add modules. Advise how Drupal platform can be modified to improve front-end user experience. Implement these changes, if approved.
• Drupal: On an ongoing basis, upgrade Drupal and its modules where necessary, and look out for new modules that could improve the Fremont College site.
• Bandwidth: Test bandwidth of site to evaluate how easily accessible the Fremont College site is in low-bandwidth countries. Suggest and make site improvements where needed.
• Survey: Add an optional survey to site which asks users about their experience and what they would like to see improved or added.
• All additions and modifications made to the site must be compliant with popular browsers as well as compatible with older versions of browsers, such as IE6.

Required Skills and Experience:
• At least five years of Drupal development experience.
• Specialty in implementing interactive features on Drupal websites, especially large websites with complex functionalities.
• Problem solver with in-depth experience creating databases and modifying databases implemented by a third-party.
• Advanced knowledge of CSS and a strong eye for design.
• Experience designing and developing for compatibility with various browser types, including IE6.
